I turned and ran as fast as I could toward the exit. I could hear the shots from The Demolisher crash behind me, to my right, and to my left. I was able to avert the robotic monster and find myself backstage.\n\nFrom there, I just ran and ran until my left leg was numb. I ended up far from arena, but screams could still be heard. Some may say that I'm a [[coward|Yep]], but I know that I was a man with vision. I was man willing to change the world. I just got caught in something bigger than me and knew that I could not get out. I had to run and run I did.\n\nUntil the officers found me...now here I sit, in my cell of shattered dreams. How did I get here, you ask? [[Let me tell you|Start]]...
A Match Made in Steel
I had a passion for professional wrestling ever since I was a child. I watched all the greats battle it out with tremendous drama and complex plotlines. When I came of age, my thoughts were completely dedicated to becoming a professional wrestler. Unfortunately, a terrible injury to my left knee ended my in-ring career. I turned my attention to promoting and decided to [[change|Start]] the world of professional wrestling with my own brand of genious and originality.
During the final weeks of preparation for the event, Max had been very private and silent. He is a modern-day genius, so I let him be at his work and chose to not bother him. Apparently, he was designed the GrappleBots for more than sport. He equipped the robots with weaponry more advanced than any military on Earth.\n\nAs I stared down The Demolisher, I felt a slight chill go up my spine as his chest cavity opened and I saw the face of Max Smith. He not only gave the robots weaponry, but he also created The Destroyer to be manned by him during the competition.\n\nTime seemed to move at a crawl as The Demolisher pointed his lethal arm in my direction. I knew I had to do something and fast. I had to make the choice:\n\nDo I [[stay and fight|Fight]] or do I [[run and survive|Flight]]?
Back and forth the battle raged. No one could see a definate winner; both Star N' Stripes and The Demolisher had moments when they were in complete control of the contest.\n\n<<nobr>><<if $outcome is "USA">>In the end, Stars N' Stripes was able to get the better of The Demolisher by successfully completing a "USA" chant with the crowd and hitting his finisher, Old Glory. Old Glory left The Demolisher helpless to kick out of Stars N Stripes' pin attempt. The [[headlines|Reviews]] were incredible and I was a success.<<elseif $outcome is "Destruction">>In the end, The Demolisher utterly destroyed Stars N' Stripes. The patriotic GrappleBot went for a "USA" chant with the crowd when The Destroyer began to stir and caught Stars N' Stripes from behind with his finisher, Total Destruction. That's when it all [[went wrong|Reports]].<<endif>><<endnobr>>
Nearly 2 tons of steel, the GrappleBots were designed and created by the incredibly intelligent Max Smith, with my guidance of course. I had the vision and Max had the tools to make my dream a reality. We worked tirelessly to make robots with artificial intelligence capable of fighting in a way similar to any human ever; however, we felt we had made robots who fight better than any human being ever could. Through blood, sweat, and tears, we finally were ready to unveil the [[Match Made in Steel|Start]].
It was out of nowhere. The Demolisher's eyes suddenly turned a crimson red as he ripped the head completely off the shoulders of Stars N' Stripes. He threw the hunk of metal down with terrible strength and slowly gazed over the crowd. A sudden hush seemed to have taken the breathe out of every member of the crowd. The Demolisher lifted his arm toward the commentary table and a bright blue bolt burst from his arm, leaving nothing of the table and the commentators except fire, smoke, and ash.\n\nThen, he turned to me at ringside...immediately, a thought entered my mind. I knew [[what had happened|Max]].
I leapt under the ring to temporarily avoid The Demolisher's aim. He shot at ringside and barely missed a father with his child. \n\nUnder the ring I round a crowbar. I snuck around to where I was behind The Demolisher. I knew he was designed to be slow, but I was not the fastest myself, considering my hurt knee.\n\nI saw the perfect place to lodge the crowbar in The Demolisher's left knee. I ran with all my might, fighting through the pain jolting from my leg, and rammed the crowbar in the GrappleBots joint.\n\nWhen The Demolisher lost its balance, I jumped into the cavity with Max and we fought for what felt like an hour. This was not professional wrestling anymore; this was a brawl. I was able to knock Max out cold against the side of his pod and he fell limp to the mat below. I quickly lunged from The Demolisher as he crumbled in defeat.\n\nI had survived but my life would never be the same again. I write to you from my cell, hoping that you can understand the plight of a man hoping to change the world. How did this happen, you ask? [[Let me tell you|Start]]...
"I couldn't believe my eyes and I still feel like I'm in a dream!"\n\n"What an amazing show put on by promoter Ace Alexander. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!"\n\n"This will not only change the world of professional wrestling...this will change the world."\n\nI had achieved the goal I had always wanted to achieve. My life would forever be changed. I am Ace Alexander and I changed the world. How, you ask? [[Let me tell you|Start]]...
<<nobr>>I, [[Ace Alexander|Ace]], helped create, design, and promote the match of the century, a match unlike any other...a match [[made in steel|GrappleBots]]. Two GrappleBots were set to clash in an Artificial Intelligence Professional Wrestling contest that would change history. The card would read: [[Stars N' Stripes|Stars N' Stripes]] VS. [[The Demolisher|The Demolisher]]. Who would win in [[the battle|The Match]] between the greatest fighters ever created by God or man?<<endnobr>>
This All-American themed Grapplebot was designed for maximum speed and charisma. Given the opportunity, Stars N' Stripes would take time to appeal to the crowd with patriotic chants and gestures, boosting his momentum and given him the drive to finish off his opponent; however, if he was to be interrupted mid-chant or gesture, Stars N' Stripes would be drained completely of all momentum. Also, this GrappleBot's tremendous speed will give it an edge against slower Bots; however, if a more powerful Bot were to get his hands on Stars N' Stripes, he would be in dire straights. \n\nAll in all, speed and charisma are invaluable skills that should take Stars N' Stripes directly to victory in this [[Match Made in Steel|Start]].<<set $outcome to "USA">>
This powerhouse GrappleBot was designed to be all business with increased strength and verociousness. Given the opportunity, The Demolisher would destroy any opponent without mercy. The Demolisher was made to have no regard for sportsmanship and finesse. His interest is in doing exactly what his name implies: demolishing everything in his path. The Demolisher would be inhibited by his lack of speed and blind rage. Faster opponents could get the better of him and if he developed too great of a rage, he would make too many mistakes.\n\nAll in all, The Demolisher's strength and verociousness are not easily overcome by his opponent in the [[Match Made in Steel|Start]].<<set $outcome to "Destruction">>
